THE STORY

Groovin' tunes, uproarious comedy, and a love story to die for!

Our show opens with Howie the Handyman, who takes care of the local rehearsal hall. He's sweeping up after a big production ... and what a mess it was! If you have a moment, Howie will tell you what happened.

Imagine -

It's the day before opening night. Desiree Devine, lunch waitress and aspiring diva, has found her break in show business! She's the star of a new musical by cutting-edge German playwright, Frau Ingrid Schultz. The show debuts at the Grand Imperial Theatre, and excitement is in the air. Desiree is thrilled!

But, as luck would have it, who should stroll into town but her ex - a faded and jaded rock star named SlowSlide Sam.

SlowSlide has been on the road. He's tired, and just wants a nap on Howie's couch ... or so he says. Desiree wants him gone, fast! ... or so she says. Could she still have the hots for this cool cat?

Never!

She's in love with Beauregard Blake, a professionally-educated thespian of impeccable taste, insufferable ego, and a lot of money. He and Desiree seem happy ...

but at what cost?

Things get worse. Frau Schultz needs a piano player, and conscripts SlowSlide into the show. Despite many protests, she will not take no for an answer! Her innovative cultural masterpiece opens in less than 24 hours, and it's chaos! HOWIIIIEEEE! The piano! the lights! the gown! the corpse! Schumpa-whumpa!

As a big storm brews, sparks fly and tempers flare. Howie and Frau Schultz struggle with disaster. Desiree struggles with her lyrics and her sanity. SlowSlide struggles to take a nap. Beau struggles with the lack of appreciation for his theatrical excellence. Poor Frau Schultz wants just ONE rehearsal! Just ONE! Finally, she snaps! Alone with the audience, Frau Schultz confesses a dire secret.

As the storm unleashes its wrath, reality blurs and everything falls apart! Can Desiree face her delusions? Can SlowSlide face his feelings? Can Beau face his fears? What's with the leather guys? Is it cool to be possessed? Will love triumph? Will the corpse shut up and die? Will dreams come alive at the Grand Imperial ... or plummet into the shrieking maw of despair?

"Ladies and gentlemen! The Grand Imperial is proud to present -- what's this thing called again ... ?"

Making Necrophiliac is a wickedly funny bit of frippery, with house-rockin live music from blues to burlesque to boogie to Broadway, a beautiful love song, a delightfully naughty twist, and a heartwarming tale of love, hope, and the theatre ... for everyone old enough to know better, but young enough to dream.
